Ash Dieback update
I mentioned Ash Dieback before and the threat to our local woods - see here
- The terrible ash tree disease Chalara Fraxinea, or Ash Dieback, is
still a huge threat to UK woodland, but some key symptoms can be harder
to spot in winter. The Forestry Commission have just released this video
(scroll down on this page here)
to help you identify and report potential cases of Ash Dieback even
when the trees have shed their leaves. Find out more about Ash Dieback
and other tree diseases here.
Meanwhile John Rhodes, a local tree expert is running a free workshop
on Ash Tree disease which will be held at the Exchange on Saturday 2nd
March between 11. 30 and 2. 30 pm. Please see attached poster left by
clicking on it.
