World Environment Day today!

At GadgetValuer they have been promoting tips for Environment Day - I've also had a couple of emails seeing if we'll blog on their tips...well I've succumbed although I do have mixed feelings regarding tips....do they work? Perhaps as a reminder? Or maybe they are more important....

We do indeed need a big shift in thinking and behavior that motivates people and organisations to tackle climate change....this shift is totally possible and the evidence is that simple actions taken at household and organisational levels help - and buy time and build public support for new policies. A paper I read a couple of weeks ago covers just this - see here - it also covers common blunders to be overcome. For example folk have misplaced confidence in assuming the future will be similar to the past - this makes identifying mistakes and altering behaviour difficult when conditions do change....

Anyway you’ll find their 100 plus tips on how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle – split into energy, water and food sustainability sections. Each tip is also a printable poster, or shareable image for social media too...
