Neighbourhood Plan for Whiteshill and Ruscombe

I have talked in previous posts about plans in both the Parish Councils in this ward to have a Neighbourhood Plan. In Randwick they are already working on it and Whiteshill and Ruscombe look set to start properly this weekend. At the recent Parish meeting - see here - the Parish Council rightly challenged our MP about how useful they will be - there are many reports suggesting they maybe little more than tokenism while others suggest they will give some powers to Parish Councils.

I believe this is a chance to help shape our neighbourhood but I don't see it as a way to stop development...the powers are limited. For details of Saturday's drop-in event 10am-3pm in the Village Shop click on the poster below - I'll be calling in for some of the day so might see you there?
