I never thought there was much of a chance to save the Victorian post box in a wall on The Plain as another box is not so far away - but it is historic and an important part of the village. All credit to Parish councillor Peter Hood for lobbying and letter writing on the matter.....the post office managed to find the spare parts to fix it from other boxes so it lives to see another few years....
