Sheffield Carol Singing at The Star, Whiteshill 5th Dec

Russ poster
Here's an event I've coordinated.....Come and join 'Sheffield Carol Singing' at The Star, Whiteshill, 7.30pm on Wednesday 5th December.

The Sheffield Carols have been described as one of the most remarkable instances of popular traditional singing in the British Isles. They predate modern carols by over a century and are sung with alternative words and verses to those we are hearing today. Come and listen or better still join in. For the occasion Ken at The Star is hoping to get three barrels of the award winning Kelham Island, Sheffield Real Ale!

Hello Philip,

It’s great to see Sheffield Carol singing at The Star tonight, but I’m gutted that I’ll be busy singing with the Nailsworth Community Choir tonight so won’t be able to be there! Is this something that happens every year? Who is your choir? Are they singing anywhere else this month?

All the best

Katherine
