Singing in the name of peace...want to join in?

A course of powerful, provoking, uplifting and inspiring songs in the name of world peace led by Rob Carney is set to run for 8 weeks starting Tuesday 25th September 7.30pm-9.30pm at Paganhill Maypole Village Hall, Stroud, GL5 4AN (next to Tesco Express near the Maypole on Stratford Road, car parking at rear off Matthews Way). £7 per session or £48 for the full 8 weeks. Book in advance or turn up on the night.

Organiser, John writes:  "We are planning to work towards busking some peace songs in Stroud town centre and may be singing at an event later in the year. The hope is then to run a further block of sessions, again around a particular theme, in building towards events that we could support in the spring and summer including International Workers Day (May Day). The group is non party political and has members with red and green politics and non aligned people. We will be learning songs in parts with Rob teaching aurally; so there is no need to be able to sight read or have previous singing experience. This will be an open group and all abilities are welcome."
