Petition to call on Government to withdraw Barclay's Banking Licence

The recent revelations about Barclays are deeply shocking. Indeed it is hardly believeable - it seems the Big Four banks all admit to mis-selling interest rate swaps! The Telegraph reports that

The idea behind this petition by local Green councillor Molly Scott Cato is to mobilise energy behind the proposition that Barclays' executives are not fit and proper people to hold such a licence. There are technical arguments about what would happen to accounts etc, but this petition is intended to cut through the guff around enquiries and make clear what the government's power really is, should it choose to exercise it. Please sign the petition and send to all your contacts: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/35446
