'Superfast' Broadband update - could be good news!!!

Big thanks to Ben for a comment alerting me to the latest Broadband news for this area....see my blog post a long while back here - since then there has been much work campaigning and lobbying for change from many groups in the county

'Superfast' broadband has come to Stroud. OpenReach have already begun accepting orders for those cabinets which have already been installed and commissioned. The work is due to be completed for most cabinets by the end of June 2012. See the link for more details: http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk

My number looks set to be upgraded by 30th June - of course some of this comes at a price. It may be worth checking your own line using the BT checker to see if you can get this service. Link: http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
