Ranked 1007th!

Apparently this blog is 1007th on Wikio ranking - that's all blogs listed there including European blogs - basically the position of a blog in the Wikio ranking depends on the number and weight of the incoming links from other blogs. These links are dynamic, which means that they are backlinks or links found within articles - so not according to blog rolls. It looks as if earlier Ruscombe Green was at 810th a wee while ago and has also dropped to 1803th! By the time this goes blog is published I might have changed again! Update: Indeed I've just done a quick check and we are now at 981st position!

However this site is still getting around 4,000 visits each month from 3,000 visitors. Most popular at the moment is an old post around blackcurrent syrup recipe - see here - infact making more of the stuff a couple of weeks ago - and the other most popular hit is the report of the spoof canceling of the air tattoo cancelled - see here.

In early September there will be the results of the Total Politics poll - last year this blog made 9th - up from 16th in the Green Blogs category - there is lots of new competition and some excellent Green Blogs now. I also made 88th in Left of Centre Blogs and 257th in UK Politics! I wasn't even listed in the Councillor category so all this is a bit arbitary!
