Tesco have previously admitted using Palm oil in their biofuels - as this blog has noted before this is associated with a number of serious problems including large scale deforestation, adding to climate change and human rights abuses in Indonesia.Tesco have said they ask their suppliers to provide a sustainability statement however apparently despite requests for a copy of this it has never been forthcoming.
