Incinerator: meeting to hear about impact
A new DVD is being launched to look at the impact of the proposed incinerator at Javelin Park - do go along and hear more about it on Thursday 13th September at The Old Town Hall Meeting Room, The Shambles, Stroud 7.30 p.m. - 9.00 p.m (doors open at 7.10 p.m. for tea and coffee).
Meanwhile good news hopefully re the proposed incinerator at Kings Lynn - it has been called in by the Minister - the letter, issued on behalf of Pickles, said: "The secretary of state’s policy is to be very selective about calling in planning applications. He will, in general, only take this step if planning issues of more than local importance are involved. Having regard to this policy, the secretary of state is of the opinion that the application is one that he ought to decide himself because he considers that the proposal concerns matters that are of substantial regional and national controversy."
