Well the blog has been quieter over the last weeks and probably will remain so over the next few weeks....
I had a wonderful few days in Cornwall last week but have also been to a whole host of meetings which I've not really covered including Green party, Parish, RBAG, Edible Gardens, Transition Stroud and more...two key Council meetings last month, a Scrutiny and Full Council, but reckon it is easier for interested folk to read minutes or see webcasts - probably of most interest was the Special Strategic Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 9 July 2012. This covered what the new Exec will be focusing on over the next year and more. As they've only just been in post a few weeks it was only an overview - but of particular interest was that Cllr Simon Pickering was able to list a number of key actions that Greens have been working on - download minutes at: http://www.stroud.gov.uk/info/members/cms_documentation/SSOSC_9_July_2012.pdf
Anyway I have to date, been impressed how the three parties, Labour, Greens and Lib Dems are working together - there are some serious challenges ahead but also some interesting creative plans. More on all that soon!
