Last week I got to the University of Gloucestershire's lecture - a free public lecture by Satish Kumar that was part of the Uni's Sustainable Landscape Series lectures.
For those who don’t know, Satish is the editor of Resurgence magazine as well as one of the founders of the Schumacher College in Devon. He is a former monk and long-term peace and environment activist (http://www.resurgence.org/satish-kumar/ ). John Vidal has a nice piece on him here.
It was great to hear him - he talked of the trinity of Egalité, liberté and fraternité, but how we need a new trinity
for the age of ecology - the trinity of soil, soul and
society.
See Satish in a similar talk at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EQ1HtzXxQU
