January 16th Stroud Subscription Rooms at 2.30 pm  in the “Your Musical Memories” concert. Peter Schnabl who sang so successfully in the “Your Musical Memories” concert last year returns to sing songs from his repertoire which will include sacred songs and “fun” songs, with a few American standards 'thrown in'. Peter is a fine bass who has held the Hugh McDowell Cup from Cheltenham Music Festival for six consecutive years. Appearing with Peter will be the flautist Liz Leachman and pianist Robert Burgess. Robert studied with Eugene Asti at Trinity College of Music, gaining the Associate Diploma in Performance in Piano Accompanying with Distinction. He has supported a number of singers with notable success in competitive festivals including Cheltenham, Bath and Leamington Spa. He also accompanies the Dursley Male Voice Choirs, and plays the organ for the Painswick Catholic Church. On Thursday he will be accompanying both Peter and Liz. Liz will be playing music by two of the greatest French composers; Faure and Ravel. Liz, who teaches the flute and piano and runs “singing for well-being” sessions, will also be singing some of her own music, much of it inspired by her love of Indian Classical Raga.
