Catching up on blog....woodfuel, potatoes and more...

Well last week saw some more leafletting _ I've nearly got around the whole ward - rather delayed by the snow but have had a couple of friends and my partner help - hoping to finish this Wednesday - if you haven't had a copy there is the info online here. I do sometimes miss the odd house as I don't always remember where front doors are etc and there are some real confusing bits!

Also this week a host of meetings from Green councillors getting together to plan next steps to a meeting re planning application and a fun one where Green District councillors met with our fellow Labour and Lib Dem councillors who help run Stroud District Council - we discussed economic regeneration and resilience - part about understanding each others vision and part planning next steps - some exciting stuff....

Then Saturday saw the Randwick Woodfuel group and we were up clearing scrub up near Haresfield Beacon or rather near the Topyography thing....the photos here are from that...what a fantastic day with stunning views...we did loads of clearing and most of us also took home some wood - the deal is 3-4 hours of work and you go home with some wood that is now waiting to be chopped up! I only had a half a boot load for me as I was off to.....

Stroud Potato Day was humming with people and seed potato sales - orders were also being taken for the Stroud Potato Day Recipe Book reprint (£5) - see photos here on the Stroud Potato Day blogsite and Stroud People's photos of the day here. The potatoes were again supplied by the very wonderful Dundry Nurseries.

After that it was to meet a volunteer who wants to help with Stroud Community TV....I've been working alot on the awards - we have a team of judges and results are coming in and should be available very soon - here are the nominations: http://stroudcommunity.tv/awards-2012/
