Whiteshill and Ruscombe Community Choir's first ever meeting!

Some will remember the carol singing at Christmas - see the short film of some of the singing at:

Well during the evening I collected a load of names and now Nikki and others are putting together the Whiteshill and Ruscombe Choir.  Nikki Ashworth writes: "I am very pleased to let you know that we now have the possibility of getting a choir started in the village.  Rachel Thomas from Ruscombe has kindly agreed to lead our community choir. She is happy to  teach us  an eclectic selection of music which will be suitable for all and so there will be no need to be able to read music. We aim for the sessions to be  relaxed and fun for all who enjoy singing....I'm sure you agree that a choir will be great for our community."

The first meeting will be at Whiteshill and Ruscombe Village hall 8-9pm on Wednesday 6th March. They then hope to meet at the same time each week during school term times. Rachel would really appreciate it if there were other people who would also be prepared to lead sessions as she is reluctant to take on the total commitment. Please let Nikki know if you or anyone you know would be willing to do this.

There has also been an offer to phoptocopy music and manage the funds by one of the new choir members. He will also collect a £2 contribution each night to cover the cost of the hall, music and a small fee for Rachel or whoever else leads the session. If you are interested in joining the choir or by helping to lead some sessions then please let Nikki know as soon as possible so she can confirm the hall booking etc. Nikki can be got on 763090 or nikkiashworth(at)hotmail.com       NB: replace (at) with @
