Petition for better climate change reporting on the BBC

Photo: The rapid melting of Greenland's ice sheet could be one of the most important events in history.

But you wouldn't know that from watching most TV news. Click LIKE if you're fed up with mainstream media that fails to cover climate change.

In an Impartiality Report submitted to the Trust in 2008 the Executive noted “Given the weight of opinion building up around the IPCC it makes sense for us to focus our coverage on the consensus that climate change is happening, is serious, but is manageable if tackled urgently…”

Since then the scientific evidence for climate change has only got stronger, yet a few weeks ago I heard John Humphrys saying, “You can't absolutely prove, can you, that CO2 in the atmosphere is responsible for global warming?"

Add to this the dreadful lack of reporting of stuff like the Greenland ice melt (see photo link left) and Arctic ice melts and it is no wonder folk still don't accept climate change! I am delighted to see there is now a petition in the hope that we can get the BBC to wake up. Please join me in signing this petition at: http://www.campaigncc.org/BBCpetition
