Occupy Stroud supports eradicating ecocide

Next Saturday Occupy Stroud are trying to help the Ecocide campaign - a local eco poet is working on a poem for the Saturday meeting in the High Street at 10.30am and more planned.

Apparently a community letter has been started which will be a beautiful long continuous roll of handwritten paper which will be hand delivered to the PM.


Whats ecocide? Ecocide is the extensive damage to, destruction of or loss of ecosystem(s) of a given territory, whether by human agency or by other causes, to such an extent that peaceful enjoyment by the inhabitants of that territory has been severely diminished.  Eradicating Ecocide is the means for states to meet global sustainability targets and to create a green economy where people and planet come before profit.
