Oxfam venture in Stroud

Just a note here about a new Oxfam venture in Stroud - some local people are hoping to form a new Oxfam Stroud Fundraising Group. They are looking for likeminded individuals to join them - people who would like to use their time and skills to make a lasting change to people living in poverty. While I am not getting involved with this project, as someone who used to manage Community Aid Abroad's (Australian Oxfam) office in Sydney, I am supportive of this venture.

To launch the group and to give individuals a chance to find out more about Oxfam and their plans in the local area they are hosting an 'Oxfam in Stroud' evening. This evening will include a presentation on Oxfam's work; what they do and how they do it; as well as an opportunity to ask questions about Oxfam and how individuals can get involved in the local area. The event will be taking place at: The Subscription Rooms, George Street, Stroud GL5 1AE on Wednesday 15th February at 7pm - 8pm. To reserve places please contact Oxfam - see details on poster attached.
