As folk will know the MSA got the go-ahead to be built (see here). Yesterday Eric Pickles, the Communities and Local Government Secretary, said he would not call it in. Now the only thing that can stop it is a legal challenge by Roadchef and Welcome Break or the developers deciding not to build - both look unlikely. See my previous discussion here.

Motorway Services not called in
