I am not yet sure if I can get to a gig on Friday with Kerr Fagan Harbron, at Prema Arts Centre in Uley. I hope so. Prema's a lovely space for acoustic music and it will be a great opportunity to hear Ruscombe resident Robert Harbron (pictured) who plays concertina - he has had rave reviews in the folk press and really mustn't be missed!! Indeed one of the links below has some of the music to preview.
Robert's website (see here) has a biog which starts..."Robert Harbron has emerged as one of the leading lights in the ongoing renaissance of English music. A consummate musician and performer who is widely considered to be the finest concertina player of his generation, he is a member of the English Acoustic Collective, works with fiddler Emma Reid, and has just released the CD ‘Station House’ with Nancy Kerr and James Fagan."
