This blog has talked lots about the importance of developing a whole catchment strategy for water courses.
Well Gloucestershire-based Water 21 have just released a report that is easy to read and is a useful summary of the approach that throws out the hard engineering solutions in favour of soft, low cost naturalistic schemes that involve the whole landscape. Anyone interested in thsi should have a read! This is what we are working for in the Stroud Valleys Water Forum and Ruscombe Brook Action Group.
